Most artists pick a lane. LBE Scar built his own road. The Ohio-born rapper, business manager, and photographer dropped two EPs within four days of each other in late October, but the releases are just one piece of how he’s approaching his career. Skyler Lewis, who goes by LBE Scar, has spent years learning the business side of music before stepping fully into his own artistry. “LBE stands for Loyalty Before Everything,” he says. “This whole process is personal. It ain’t got nothing to do with music anymore.”
Born May 4, 1996, Lewis started writing poetry and performing in school plays before age six. His professional industry experience began in 2019 as promotion manager at Hit Camp Records, then managing at Loedagang, LLC, before launching Scar Management. He handles his own engineering and production now. “I learned that self-reliance is crucial,” Lewis says, citing his kids, Zalaya and Junior, as his motivation. That perspective shaped how he built his latest projects.
“The Chronicles of Scar, Vol. 1” arrived October 27th, followed by “Vol. 2” on Halloween. Together they clock in at just under 24 minutes. “My kids. That’s it. Plain and simple,” he explains when asked about the inspiration. “I wanted y’all to feel me in these songs, like really feel me, without any visuals even needed. My past traumas are what molded me into who I am today.”

“Vol. 1” features “Karma,” a track about betrayal and self-reliance. “I knew I could be whatever I wanted to be,” he raps. “All I had to do was follow my dreams. F*ck a handout and do it on my feet.” “Choose You,” written on his 29th birthday in May, came right after someone close betrayed his trust. “We can respect the truth, but we can’t respect a liar,” he says. “Vol. 2” includes “Calling Me Bae” and “Switch Up,” both exploring relationship dynamics and honesty.
What’s pushing momentum right now is his connection to YBL SINATRA, real name Leon McCane, son of Bizzy Bone. They grew up around the corner from each other in Cleveland. “The connection runs deep,” Scar says. The two are preparing for interviews and performances in New York, then heading back to Cleveland for the big one: opening for all five members of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony on November 29th at the Agora Theater. (tickets here) “I just want to give a special shoutout to my brother SINATRA for staying loyal, plugging me in, and making all this happen.”

Dee Dee Vision, Scar’s trusted cameraman, will be capturing the performances. “He’s a goat with the camera,” Scar says. “He’s gonna be doing a couple visuals for me soon.” His tour kicks off in February 2026, with dates dropping New Year’s Day.
Scar describes his music as “vision-able, over-seeing, manifest-able.” He wants listeners to catch a vision, something consistent they can hold onto. Between managing his own career, handling production, and building Scar Management from the ground up, he’s proven he doesn’t need anyone else’s infrastructure. “After my first show, I knew this was my time to get my foot in the door,” he says. “I’m here to stay.”
For an artist who’s also a business manager and photographer, the approach makes sense. He’s not waiting for opportunities. He’s creating them himself, one project at a time.
